Personal invitations are not a marketing deal and I think you'd certainly get another card- if you wanted one. You can always call and ask someone on the phone. I called them 3 times with questions before I decided to apply.

Can I app for the 2nd card 91 days from April 4th approval date which puts me at July 5th or do I need to wait until 3rd statement cuts at the end of July? I will likely go for the Flagship but debating on it vs. Platinum.
You need to wait until the third statement is generated even though it will be significantly after 91 days.
Actually, I was incorrect. My first statement cut on 4/26. I confused myself by typing the 1st due date. So I will be at 91 days on July 5th and my 3rd statement will have cut on June 26th. I also just noticed my FICO9 is now showing as of yesterday which is exactly 1 month from the day I was approved on April 4th.
I assume it will start reporting on my credit reports once the 2nd statement cuts this month.
@Anonymous wrote:Another question... I plan on applying for a car loan the middle of June. Should I wait until then before requesting the NFCU stuff since it will generate a hard pull?
Currently my INQs are: EX 14, EQ 2, TU 5.
By the time I apply for the car loan, it will be EX 12, EQ 1, TU 5.
@Anonymous So Navy IME and lots of DP's on here, show that Navy isn't INQ sensative, they are however very much about low DTI and history with them. As long as those two things are in check, the sky is the limit.
I know it confuses alot of people, but that is honestly how people with 550 scores, and maybe even no credit previously, are getting monster approvals from Navy. The lower your DTI, the more you have to pay back what you borrow from them.

91/3 is the guideline. Some with low DTI and clean profiles, have seen a CLI after 91 days without 3 statments and on the flip side some with not so clean profiles (*cough* me) or not as low DTI have been made to wait 6 months. (scores and INQ regardless)
One good thing that i do know IME, is that if you ask to early, they will tell you that and there is no HP.
Waiting to hear of your success when you do deicde to give it a shot.
The wait is a killer...I'm already halfway to hitting my $10k limit before my first due date...hurry up July 5th!

I agree. You should give it a day or two. Also, I would wait until your FICO score is updated in their system (they do it once a month on the same date as your statement cuts, usually). If you do that, there’s a chance that a CLI request might only be a SP instead of an HP.
Where did you get that bit of "info" from? I know Amex updates your EX FICO 8 score when a statement is cut, but I've never heard about Navy doing that. Just by coincidence a new statement was cut last night for me and there was no score update. My last score update occurred on May 4, the same date as everyone else.
