I was going to utilize the cashRewards card for it since the cash advance APR is technically lower than the cloc for my instance. And it would be just for emergency purposes only, as I would have it deposited into my account.@Matt9543 Yes, whatever best fits your credit goals is great. It's nice to have the padding since it really shouldn't be used and won't ever be cancelled for non-use. If it doesn't fit your credit goals then it might make more sense not to get it
@Jago22 I'll definitely look into it. I think my best bet for right now is to just use the card and see if I can get a CLI in 91/3. It's my understanding that either one will use EQ for the hard inquiry (if not a soft pull for CLI) and I will pretty much have a better idea which one to use when that time comes.
On a sidenote, thank you so much for all the information!
Always glad to help. Its personal decision to get a CLOC for your goals or not. I started with a dirty profile so i seemed to do better with new approvals. When i got my 3rd card with a 15k SL, i thought what the he(double hockey sticks) and tried for the CLOC and got a 14k on that. The two HP's that day were well worth it
Wow. It's impressive that they gave you a 14K CLOC on top of the rest of your credit. I always thought a large CLOC would take away from revolving limits so I never asked for a bump on my $500 one.

I got the CLOC 2 years ago, so i only had 6-8 cards at the time, but i was able to get 2 CLI's same day on the CR and GR to 7500 each a few months later, so i'd say the CLOC didnt really affect it. If anything it gave me more history even tho i hadn't used it lol

Maybe I'll try to increase mine when I go for my third card in October.
Again with regard to the CLOC, how does this pertain to 91/3? My understanding is after 91/3 you can apply for a new card and a CLI. Where does the CLOC fit in? Does it take place of CC, or can all three take place at 91/3?
Thanks!

CLOC has nothing to do with 91/3. You can apply for a CLOC any time.

Perhaps the Credit Gods are looking out for me. Update: Worked, app submitted. Not an instant approval.
