Thank you @Anonymous and @M_Smart007 , I am so happy for both of them, they are learning the ropes, albeit slowly, lol!
@CreditobsessedinFL they are lucky to be able to learn from you! Learning the credit game slowly is such a bonus since it's about long term growth. Can't wait to follow their success in the months to come.
Have a great weekend!
@CreditobsessedinFL congratulations to both of them, all three of you! 😉 hope you're doing well!
Just to update everyone. I did apply for the CLI and it went to the 24 hour review. I have not gotten a hard pull that I can tell since I do get alerts immediately if it is pulled. I woke up today to my available balance increased. Looks like they gave me $500.00 increase. Less than I wanted but something is better than nothing. Working on fixing things on my credit and paying down bills, so this will help my ratio. Navy Federal has been very good to me, so I cant complain. I just wanted to share it was indeed a soft pull.

Congrats on your increase and thanks for the "SP" DP's.

Congrats on the CLI! I applied for one back in July and received the same amount. Something is definitely better than nothing. I'll try again for a larger CLI in January.
Question on what second card to apply for. I was approved 3 months ago for the Cash Rewards Visa Sig at $6200. I'll be closing on my house Tuesday, so I'll be applying after that. I'm leaning towards the More Rewards due to the points structure, I'm interested in points to cash back. I have a large family so I spend a lot on groceries, gas and we do travel some. Thought about the Flagship, but I don't think I travel enough for me to earn good points, plus the signup bonus for that one sucks right now. More Rewards is an Amex so I'm worried about it not being accepted everywhere, although I've heard that's changed lately. What are your suggestions?

I was approved for the More Rewards about a month ago. Its been my daily driver since. I've been loading up the points with grocery and gas stations. In my opinion it's a great card.
Something else to think about is if you're not really pressed for a new card, waiting till 6 statements cut.
You could build a little more payment history with NFCU and increase your chances for a massive limit.
I have prett good payment history, I have a personal loan and the Nrewards secured card for about a year now. Been a member since 2009. Have you had any issues with acceptance anywhere?

@Anonymous I haven't any issues with acceptance anywhere. I don't think I've really heard of many issues these days with AMEX acceptance.
Glad to hear you already have well established relationship with NFCU! Also I believe NFCU has a 3 CC max, just a FYI in case you haven't heard that.
Let's us know what you decide!
We're all pulling for you!
