Joined NFCU Jan 2020. Their score was 638 at the time. One old 'seriously deliquent', otherwise clean file with high utilization, maybe 80%ish. $1000 starting limit Cash Rewards, so just squeaked in.
May 2020, 3/91, applied for Platinum to do a balance transfer as I'm aggressively paying down debt. Declined. They did up my Cash rewards to $1500 as a consolation prize.
Nov 2020, hit the CLI button, missed by 4 days. Oopsie. Charged up the cash rewards, paid off in full, did the same in Dec.
Jan 2021. Itchy fingers. Due date is the 4th. Statement date a few days later. EQ Fico 9 at 700 even. Ah what the heck, lets spin the wheel. Asked for $7,500. Wheel landed on $4,500.
This will help my utilization tho, and once the bureaus update, I'll hit the CLI button on AmEx and Disco and see where they land. If I get my score up enough, I'll try for that Platinum again. Goal for 2021 is to be rid of 25K of credit card debt, or at least well on my way.
Hope this helps someone!

I'm not aware that anyone has received a CLI larger than $4k from Navy since late May. Are you? I don't count the new-account SL recons as CLIs.

@Curious_George2 it hasn't been reported much but in addition to @Thatgenesgirl just having success over $4K, there was a post from
@AverageJoesCredit around the first week of December, and if I remember correctly he received a $5K CLI!! Grats to both of them for sure!!
AJC got a $3500 CLI. He had a $1500 card and asked for $5K total which was granted. Even the mighty AJC is stuck with $4K max CLIs

I interpreted @Anonymous's report as being a $3,000 CLI, taking her $1,500 up to $4,500. (No small thing, by the way. Congrats on the 3x!) Maybe that member can clarify.
@Anonymous @and @Curious_George2
Mahalo for the clarification!😉 Darn! I was hoping that we were starting to see a change! Well, even if it stays at $4K for now, it's pretty awesome compared to some lenders and their idea of a CLI LOL! Looking at you CapOne!
Have a great day everyone! 😄

I originally read the post to say they were given an additional 4.5K.
It appears 4K is still the champ!

I mean I dug up the approval thread before I made that post 😂
"Earlier in the month i decided to try for a cli on my $1500 Plat, that started out as a $500 cc. Tried and got recent change denial. Lol, you know me, a week later tried again for s & g since my reports are locked. 2 days later i checked my account and the limit was different! Approved! I asked for $5k and got it !"
