After applying for a 2nd card too early, which I don't know how I did that, I just applied for my 2nd card and got the 24-48 hour message. Do I wait for the response before applying for a credit increase on my Rewards card, or I can go ahead and request an increase now? Thanks for the help in advance.

You can request cli now if you want. Some like to wait to see how card#2 pans out but i risk it all with Navy. No harm trying just a denial letter if your reports are locked.( hps are always possible whenever seeking credit regardless of current or past trends )

Wait to find out if you've been approved for the 2nd card before you request a CLI on your current CC. The reason is because Navy Fed has a maximum amount of credit it will extend to each account holder, depending upon each account holder's credit profile. If you reach your max with a CLI on the first card, then there's no CL available for the second card, and Navy Fed will deny the application for the second card. That would waste an HP.
Get the second CC approved (or denied), then see if there's CL available for the first CC.
Good luck!

If he/she aleady applied for second card, it doesnt matter because that app will take priority over any secondary cli request . Navy will give consideration to the first application they receive , which one reason its generally better to app card first then cli. Person will either get it or not regardless how we try to better the odds for ourselves. My humble opinion of course

@Anonymous, welcome to FicoForums and congrats on your CLI! You need to wait at least 6 months before you can request another CLI on your Navy Fed CC.
Thank you
