Finally recievied letter from amex card app. So i have in internal score of a 311 dont know how well or bad that is and it states ive reached my max unsecured limit. I also applied for a CLOC and it the first reason for denial is Length of time since navy federal credit union membership established. so sounds like i need to be atleast 6 months deep with them.

Previous CL: 73,000
New CL: 77,000
I was told last year by the NFCU CSR I was at max credit exposure with 73k on the Flagship and another 15k on the CLOC for a total of 88k.
Now I'm at 92,000 with NFCU and I haven't even apped for my second card yet!
What was your starting limit on the Flagship and when did you open it?
My SL I believe was 14,000 and I opened it just over 10 years ago.

Congrats but your second card will only be $3K unless you have them reallocate some limit because they have a hard limit of $80K total credit card limits and $15K CLOC.
Yeah its kind of weird but I have enough SL to at least get a second card approved then move some limit over from my Flagship.

Yeah, I got that same letter about a year and a half ago. No more soup for me! My internal score then was 320-330 ish. Since then I've aded another 63,000 in Navy CL (and it'll be time to ask again in a couple more weeks).
Hang in there. It'll come.

How long did you wait until you applied again for something

Did those 27 days put you at the 6 month mark? or you just tried again randomly just to see?

Yeah, I had some bad arithmatic there. My 2nd card was approved 10/31, not 11/ 31. My bad.
But the main point remains: Navy's "credit ceiling" is fluid. It can, and will, change quickly & drastically.
Opened a second Navy Platinum Visa card on January 24 with a $18,700 starting limit, activated it and then promptly forgot I ever had it. Last month I finally got around to using it by putting a $292 charge which I paid off by Statement Close date. So although I've had the card for just over four months only one statement cut.
Over the weekend I put a $6,100 charge on it and today I figured I'd ask for a CLI even though I've only had one statement. The request went to 24-hour review but when I checked my online account, the Available Credit line is showing a $4,000 increase so I guess that's the CLI although I haven't gotten any notice for Navy as yet.
So basically I was approved for a $4,000 soft pull CLI at 123/1.
@Anonymous Congratulations on your Increase!!!
