So i pulled the trigger last night around 3am and hit NFCU up for my first CLI increase after three statements and 90 days and requested max. I didn't get the instant approval or counter but instead got the 24 hour wait message. I kept checking my account all day to see if I had a message or a limit increas and didn't get either until about 3am this morning. So when they say 24 hours I guess they mean it. Anyway onto the good stuff. I didn't get the $25k max, but thats okay and I wasn't expecting it, but I am very happy with the bump I did get. I went from $5500 to $16k on my first CLI. Thanks for all the info on this thread. It gave me the confidence to pull the trigger.

Also congrats to all the other people here that are getting nice CLI's as well.

Thats a great bump up!  Congrats.

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

Well no go for a cli for me this go around.  My Cash Rewards is at 21500 and has been almost a year since I had an increase.  Got the 24 hour message and called in and got HP cancelled.

I did get auto luv on my Go Rewards a couple weeks ago.  It went from 15k to 17300.  Don't know if maybe that's why or I'm at the max for my income level.  It averages around 75000.

No! NFCU is 90 days 3 statements before first CLI. Also ideal and suggested to wait for a fresh AR as well.

What is an easy way to tell if I got a fresh AR?

Review is usually HP, instant is a SP. And everyone gets the AR at the same time.

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

@Smarzig hey a uHp = is a Hard Inquiry to your credit report , you want to minimize these as much as possible and SP= Soft inquiry, there is no damage that it can cause to your score like that with HPs . As far as AR you can look on your reports and see that they have done it under Soft Inquiries section , but most of the time you have to have access to a full report to see them . Otherwise it is done every 60 days (well it has been done every 60 days on the odd number mths) they maybe changing this . They used to only do it on EQ reports but as of last mth on it was seen on EX reports

So I was just approved for the cash rewards card today, 24k and in reading these threads I get 90days/3 statements before asking for more...BUT at a 24 starting limit what do I ask for when it's time.  Thanks for any input/advice.

Re: Navy Federal Thread for CLI and Additional Cards

@smarzig, I have found the easiest way to tell if the new AR has been done, is to follow this thread. People will start letting the community know when they see it on their reports and since it's done at the same time for everyone, I then know I'm good to go!
