you need a passcode to talk to them on phone. don't call or email EO over something so trivial. any rep should help you. as stated only use EO for last resort. abused system. EO EO EO for everything...

In the letter, they included the following:

If you feel we missed something or misread your information, then please write to us at P.O. Box 30280, Salt Lake City, UT 84130-0280 and include your Application ID number referenced above.

Should I just go ahead and write to the P.O. Box with the reference # attached?  I don't mind going through that and relaying that I forgot to add the three zeros to my income, I just don't want to end up suffering more hard pulls.  What do ya think?

Re: Need Help!!! - Capital One Blunder!!

I would say if you're willing to be patient and wait that it probably is a good idea. Obviously make sure to mention that you don't want another HP on your reports.

2011XTERROR is right about the EO being a waste in this point since it's an honest mistake. You could always call and ask a regular csr to transfer you to a supervisor too. Smiley Happy

Re: Need Help!!! - Capital One Blunder!!

i would call first. escalate if necessary. now, before i waited for some snail mail i would email EO if no one is doing anything for you and i would include that in your email about how no one was willing to help you (if that's the case)

but before i email the executive office of a company i would exhaust their resources first. that's why they're there. otherwise they wouldn't have CSRs. they'd just hire 1000 more EO reps

Thanks.  Had no idea what to do about it.  Got you though.   Have my plan of attack.  Don't blame them - I wouldn't give someone making a supposed $400 dollars a year a credit line either Smiley Embarassed

Remind them you do NOT want any additional HP's for the investigation (3 is enough).  Best of luck    :]
