I'm a new poster and will try to keep this short. First I have to say that I am amazed at the vast amount of awesome information that one can find here, and the generosity of those who are willing to share and enlighten others. I am a recent member of NFCU (joined in November of last year 2016) with a checking and savings account. A couple of weeks ago while checking my accounts on line, I noticed a button for credit card products. I clicked on the button and there was an offer for a pre-approved Platinum or Go Rewards card. Well because I like to think things through, I did not apply right away. Approximately 2 or 3 days later I checked my accounts again and the offer was no longer there. Because I have heard such wonderful things about NFCU credit products, I really wanted in. So I started checking my accounts daily and the pre-approved offer appeared again on yesterday with a apply before March 01 expiration date.
Has anyone had experience with NFCU pre-approvals and are they solid? Given my information below, what are my chances for approval?

Hopefully I have included enough pertinent information to assist with my request; and thanks to all for your time and input.
Thanks AverageJoe, I sincerely appreciate your input. You wouldnt believe that a grown man is sitting here with trembling fingers and sweating bullets because I've not app'd for a credit card in years.
Go for it! Your scores are better than mine and while I dont know your actual income - given your other CL, you shouldnt have a problem getting a great credit line. I was instantly approved for their Cashrewards card ($23,300) and their CLOC ($10k).
I'm thinking you have a great chance to get approved with a nice SL.
Thankyou kindly Myrwyn. You have great starting limits from NFCU. I definitely wish to obtain both products, Credit Card and CLOC.
I thought I might have forgotten something when I listed my information. My annual income is $115K, before year end bonuses.
Our household is $117k if that helps you. I was on the phone for the Visa app and had butterflies in my stomach! I understand the nerves. Great relief when the aproval came back and did a mental happy dance with the SL.

You are a shoe in according to your profile compared to others including myself.
NFCU is awesome!
A little off topic...
You have a very nice line up of cards and limits.
Have you ever thought about combining your Cap Ones into one card?
If your QS1's carry an annual fee then I would try to combine them into one of your other QS's that don't.
I appreciate your input oldman425.
Thank you kindly for your input steelers1.
I have considered combining my Cap One cards but want to do a little more research to determine if it could possibly have an adverse effect on my AAoA. I've been able to have the AF waived each year. Even when I've paid the AF, they would give me a waiver and reimburse me by check. I do have some interest in the Venture card so combining those small limit QS accounts seems to be a reasonable approach.
