Greetings!
I'm sure someone will be along shortly to help you.
In my opinion, Discover is a great place to start and I wouldn't bother with store cards unless you can start with MC/visa version.
I have the Sam's Club MC, which can be used anywhere and gives me 5% cash back on gas, 3% on restaurants, and 1% anywhere else. They are currently having a promotion where if you get the MC you get the Sam's Club membership free as a $45 statement credit. You can use this card everywhere including Walmart.
Wow, shes prequalified for
AMEX BCE, ED, Green.
CAP ONE Plat
Discover It and Chrome
What the heck!? I could barely get approved for a secure card when I was rebuilding. It wasn't this easy for me but I guess I destroyed 100% of my credit back then. I didn't even think she would be in these systems.
Does Barclay only pull TU? She is kind of an apple fanatic.
Also, how will AMEX and Discover react to the Charge Off and Collection? Cap One will probably be solid and her TU is clean. So if any banks only pull TU, Barclays does I think, that could be a great alternate.
Question does DW mean Da Wife?... and DH Da Husband?...,etc
I'm in the same place with my DH(don't know why but I always read it as "dearest husband" ). Managed to PFD his last collection and been doing prequals for him
Trying to figure out what cards WE would use...he's probably gonna app for Discover it next Jan. when my cashback match ends.
She got approved for an Amex Everyday card at $500
Discover said no to her application for the Discover It preapproval link. Maybe we could try to recon. I still need to get her 2 more cards.
