Ok i just looked back through my paperwork and the two BofA accounts were opened back in June of this year. My experian then was 719. looking back i should have applied for chase cards then... addmittedly a rookie mistake as well. so now i should be able to garden till june, get my score up and then go after the chase cards next year.

Wait until your oldest card is a year old. It's unusual to see people with Chase cards at an earlier point in their histories. Chase disregards AUs as one's oldest card. You need to be the primary user.

You're in a good position if you can show some patience.
