My DD is 18, only has a chase account she is an AU on (20 years old 3k CL) and she was approved for Discover (2500 CL) last month. I maxed out the Discover to show some spend and paid it off to put some spend through it for her. Well she apped nfcu before the zero balance reported and got a 1k limit. Do you think she should apply for another nfcu card now that her score is up over 50 points since her initial app? Or wait the 91 days?

Hi and Welcome!
To give you a real assessment, we would need more info than that. What's the UTI on the Chase account. Does she have any additional accounts other than your Chase & her Discover?

You can only apply for one card every 91 days.
I think $1k CL for an 18 year old is good. To answer your question, I would wait and apply for a cli.
getting a mortgage doesn't require much credit. Getting a good rate just means you need a high middle score and not much else.
2-3 years with a single card is enough to get a prime rate under 4%.
