**CLI was approved after calling in**
This coming August will be my 4th year with the bank and I never never received an auto CLI and the CL has been $3,100 all this time. My usage behavior with this card has only been for BT (perfect payments) and minor charges. This is the only bank card that I have not received auto CLI.
My experience has been similar to yours. I never once received an auto CLI.
BofA did send me various offers for additional cards, car loans, balance transfer promotions, reduced purchase APR. But never an auto CLI. I finally requested a CLI last year and it was approved. I requested a second one earlier this year and it too was approved. If you need or want a CLI, go ahead and request one.
Which card is it? They make more from swipes than a one time BT fee a couple times.

Since online CLI applications at BofA are SP, I suggest you just apply for a CLI, rather than wait for one to arrive automatically.

I've been with BoA since they absorbed my accounts that were originally opened with BayBank Boston. They've never given me an autoCLI either.
They have however been pretty generous with their CLIs when I've asked for them.

LOL, maybe you're right; BofA makes very little money off of me. I never carry a month to month balance unless it's a 0% interest free BT and I always pay off entire balance on regular purchases. I do the same with all the cards I have and I have to say that Citi Bank is the most generous in terms of automatic CLI. Perhaps, they have a much different view on how to encourage their customers to spend more!
Alright, I called and got the increase.

I feel the same way. It's been 5 years & I've never gotten an increase. It took 3.5 years just to have a card graduate then I got a decrease after it graduated. I have 10 other cards & every last one have gotten an increase.
My family member and I have Customize card with BOA for the last 4 years or so...We both never got any auto CLI nor we received any increase so we speak even though we requested at least 20 times in the last 4 years despite of heavy usage....So, we gave up...and dont bother anymore for applying for CLI even though its SP...because their answer always been the same...Tired of trying...No more faith and hope left...One day we might get their elite status by opening high roller account then hopefully things might change for us....
I had a BoA Alaska Air card with a 12.5CL. Then I applied a few years ago for a Amtrak card and they moved most of my credit line to that card leaving me with a 2k line on the Alaska card. They sold off the Amtrak cards to FNBO and since then have refused to raise my measely 2k limit despite the fact that all my FICO scores are above 800. I have had a BoA checking account for the last 40 yrs, admittedly not my primary account. They say in their letters they cannot raise my credit limit based on my relationship with them. They then list my high credit score and recommend I request a credit report for more information regarding the denial. They obviously don't want my business.
