I got the 30 day message on a Freedom Unlimited app Monday. I immediately called the robo line and it said 2 weeks. Good sign, I hope.
They pulled my EXP yesterday at 774 (I'm in MA). I have one Chase product, a CSP that started at $14K. Chase incremented it twice over the past year to $18.5K. Current balance is $1400, previous statement balance was $280 (the statement before that it was $15K, but I paid it off in one payment).
Is there risk to do another bank app while waiting the 2 weeks for Chase? I was thinking of DiscoverIt app that I'm pre-approved for (with a fixed rate, not a range), and/or was thinking about going for a 2nd AmEx since it appears it will be a SP based on pre-approval (and what I read on the forums).
Or should I wait until the Chase decision comes through before doing anything?

There shouldn't be any major risk per se since your Chase application already took the EX hit. If you're looking to expand your CC portoflio, you can give Discover or AMEX a try and see what that yields.

Thanks. I was approved for a Discover It -- unfortunately low SL ($7200), but I see Discover can be funny and CLIs are plentiful.
Still debating the AmEx PRG, have been spending a lot on airfare the last few years, but it might slow down with a kid starting college and I've already paid for tickets to Alaska as well as baggage fees, so no immediately benefit.
