Did you ever try another preapproval after the dust settled, @fury1995?  It was all rather odd. 

 

I do know that Capital One has customers with higher FICOs, even 800+ and will approve based on that as long as other profile variables are in-order so the speculation about high FICO was not related.  See >this link<  for some data points on Venture X approvals at 750-850.

@Aim_High  It was P2 preapproval attempt and stats, same thing (this was just moments ago):
