Congrats Baller! Just to confirm the $2500 didn't post as Cash Advance?
I didn't do full $2500. But, my Venture coded as a purchase!
Ok.
Checked my Longhorn Foundation account and I have a customer number now wohoo! I’m also #0 out of 21309 in loyalty point rank LOL
I went to the UFCU site and selected member of the Longhorn Foundation and applied. Submitted my opening deposits via debit card. It says my application is under review and someone should be contacting me within 1-2 business days. So the wait begins.
It never asked me for proof of Longhorn Foundation membership or my number, so I guess they may ask for it when they contact me. I’ll post another update when they do.Maybe out of state pps get extra screening but it doesn't really ake sense with UT being so large they have grads and family everyewhere.
Wish I would have known it would have coded as a purchase, I wasn't sure so didn't risk it. Could have made some easy points.

Make sure you update when the charge posts. Do you mind sharing what card that you used?

Niiiiiiiiice! I'm so j! 😂
Tydawg are you in Texas? We're trying to figure out can out of staters get instant membership approval.
While we are on the subject of credit card funding, interesting tidbit of info for those of you who are NOT Navy Fed members yet. If you open you account over the phone you can charge up to $80,000!!! Yes folks 80 large. When I first started there I wasn't able to do this because I did not want to upset the apple cart due to being an employee. But I had my Dad join and he charged $9,000 which was highest limit he had, and it did not post as cash advance. This I guess is a little known rule and not even my branch manager knew about it being policy, I found it by accident on the credit union intranet one day. Interesting to know if anyone has done up to the limit....
