I think my NFCU Cash Rewards card is PIN priority, too. I haven't used it on the last couple overseas trips, but when I was in Ireland & Scotland, it had me using my PIN. They let you change it as well, which is better than SDFCU who (at least when I had the card a few years back) assigned you a PIN you were stuck with.
I'll look into that, when I was researching it appeared to be PIN signature default. Appreciate that!

What account was this with DCU? Was it the checking account? I looked up the Schedule of Fees and Services Charges on DCU website for an inactivity fee and don't see one. I have a checking account I am currently not using and wondering if I should just close it out; I am happy with Alliant's checking ATM.
I went ahead and took a chance on a credit card. Was automatically approved for their platinum rewards card. SL $1700 (my highest yet). They pulled TU. It hit my CK and Creditwise almost immediately. The lady on the phone said that they exclusively pull EQ for loans but its kind of up in the air for CC'. Soooooo happy. Like you said. They are definitely good for people rebuilding.
Thanks Baller. I really appreciate all your advice :-)
If I haven't said this already, Thanks Baller for this thread, it has really put very valuable information in front of me and I will fax my application over to NFCU next week since I am on vacation. I hve recommended friends to check out myfico, it has done wonders for my credit rebuiding and takes some mystery out of credit!! Have a great holidy everyone.

SAvings account had it:
| 2007-03-31 | 0330 | Withdrawal For Fee | $5.00 | $83.83 | |
| Service Charge -- Inactive Acct |
|
Actually shoot both had it, basically it's a 5 dollar inactivity fee they took out of savings first then switched it to checking after the balance on the savings account dropped below 10 bucks.
Something to be aware of, I don't know when it started as I only can see statements back to 2007... I lost 300+ dollars I guess on it, considering how much they saved me on a car loan later when I had incredibly limited credit options, I'm not going to begrudge them that. The utterly pure sex HELOC rate too with all my credit issues, likewise a big deal to me in the positive side of the balance sheet.
I'm cognizant of being pretty financially stupid for most of my life anyway.

I like DCU and had a good experience refinancing my car and student loans with them, but it is beyond stupid that you cannot choose your debit PIN.
