I said, I was denied not because the content of James_A's EQ reports was unsatisfactory to Langley, but because Langley couldn't verify to its satisfaction it was dealing with James_A. Is that not correct? Why, Yes, that is correct. Then if Langley can not verify to its satisfaction that the fellow who requested an account & is presently on the phone is James_A, then how can Langley on the other hand claim the individual who gave permission for the HP is James_A? Langley can not have it both ways.

You are my hero!

Cool! Yet your hero remains as before -- waiting.

Next week I will remove my axe from its case & commence grinding. Update eventually.

Possible Data Point regarding UNFCU - United Nations FCU.

In an effort to start relationships with a few CUs in have been playing the field over the past year and finally got around to getting an app in with UNFCU. I had to join the Uniyer Nations Association for $25 and wait for my membership card (about a month) before I could do so. I filled out the app, funded with my BofA debit card and hit send. The next morning I got a denial email referencing "information in Chexsystems report" which had me floored. I requested a copy of said report and after a week called UNFCU (rude csr) and emailed them RE the fact there is no derog info in my report....none. Mayhaps they are account sensitive?? I have had 16 banking accounts in 18 months. I may not know for sure what the deal is as I keep getting stonewalled with....

"Kindly note the decision that was made was due to the information that was received from the ChexSystems report. At this time we are unable to disclose any additional information due to security purpose."

Re: Official Credit Unions Guide

UNFCU is very inquiry sensitive. I also found their CSRs to be rude, and pretty much every experience I had with them was negative.

I too have been trying to build relationships with multiple credit unions, and recently was denied for several applications because of Chex Systems. Like you, my report had no negatives, but showed a lot of inquiries.

Yes, they are very sensitive. 16 in 18 months is way way too many for them. If you are curious about which banks/CU are sensitive to too many open bank accounts head on over to Doctor of Credit. He has a giant spreadsheet with over 200 every bank/CU and every data point you could want.

Re: Official Credit Unions Guide

In Illinois, Consumers CU will be merging with Andigo in December I believe.  Hopefully the new Consumers CU will keep some of Andigo's products like the nice points Biz cards.  We will see what this turns into.

Re: Official Credit Unions Guide

Heres my spin.. if a CU cannot verify you even after pulling a report, then how can you authorize permission to pull a HP report... (since your not verified to be who you are)....  If i were a CU.. id SP you for the verification, and HP once your verified....

I'd fight this on semantics....
