Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

So I logged into my account this morning and you were correct, my security deposit was back in my savings account and the card has been unsecured.

So I guess my next question is, what led to them unsecuring the card after only a few months? I thought you had to have the card in good standing for a year before they would think about unsecuring it. Is it worth it for me to try again for a CLI on recon? I'm just looking for like a 4 or 5K bump on the other card and they already extended me another 1500.

Also, can I PC this nRewards to a Cash Rewards? I'd probably use this card again if it were a Cash Rewards. Thanks

MANY people have reported being able to get a CLI on a card right after unsecure.

It's the weekend, I would click on CLI and "max" and see if you get instant counter... if it goes to review... call in and cancel and do PC at same time!

Man, I love this place. Just did exactly as suggested above and my nRewards card, which was just unsecured two days ago, got an automated CLI to 17,500!

Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

My story kinda goes like this...

I signed up in May 2016. When signing up I applied for a consolidation loan and a line of credit. All my accounts were maxed out which was about 10k and I had an auto loan for 10k that was only 3 months old. I was denied for both

After 2 months of heavy deposits I reapplied for the line of credit and was given $500. I didnt even think about applying for a credit card with my utilization still sky high. So for the past 4 months i used 100% of the line of credit and paid it in full every statement cut. I also paid off 3 of 4 of my credit cards bringing my debt ratio down to 39% (only one maxed card).

Last week I pulled the trigger on an increase on the line of credit and was granted 15k. Smiley Happy I was and still am ecstatic...Kind of wondering how I got stuck at 17.9 on the interest rate when all I have is one charge off over a year ago for $239.

As surprised as I was, I went on and applied for an auto refi and a credit card. Both were approved. But the interest rate on the auto loan was higher then what im currently paying. I currently pay 9.4% and they want 13%

My Signature Flagship credit card was given an 8000 limit but with an 18% interest rate. Still better then any card I have but im jus wondering....is my credit that bad?

My main question would be, With each credit limit increase are you elgible for a better interest rate or just a higher limit on the card?

Is 15k the max on the Line of Credit and is the interest rate also part of applying for an increase. Is the interest re-evaluated with the credit amount for each inquiry?

Re: Official NFCU CLI Guide

I joined on 10/24 and on 10/25 was instantly approved for 15k cloc and 1200 go rewards. Is it correct that I should be able to request a cli at the end of January?

Yes, that seems to be the current timing.  It workd for me after some heavy use and PIF.
