Re: Opening up multiple credit cards

@RedWolfFish77 It depends how high your scores are; scores become very sensitive after around 800, at least that's been my experience.

What damage to a credit score can someone expect if they were approved and opened up 4-7 new credit cards in a span of a month or two?

As others have mentioned upthread, the score penalties will largely depend and will vary on your specific profile. Some profiles can withstand the impacts more gently than others.  Not to mention, the potential risks associated with any Adverse Actions by some lenders who may not embrace your credit-seeking adventures in such a short time frame.

What specific 4-7 lenders or CCs were you entertaining to apply with?

Re: Opening up multiple credit cards

As everyone said, it will dip around 3-5 points for each new credit inquiry and account and eventually it will bounce back once you start using the credit wisely and keeping the overall util ratio under 30%.Good luck and post your apps/success.
