Theres just no rhyme or reason to them..  They gave me every card I applied for (well, store cards, not their Visas), but I had to take a HP for each one, LOL..Never a pop up for me.  I got OS, and C&B with MY profile, and they denied you??  Thats crazy!  So sorry..

One day for sure YOu will have your C&B and OS cards, and CA will have his Discover, I just know it!!  Hopefully its just verificaiton, and dont try the backdoor # either, because its a waste of time, they will tell you to wait for the letter, because if its verification, theres a reference # on the letter that they need.  Hopefully thats the case

I like Comenity and have had nothing but great luck with most of their pop ups and especially store cards.

But when it comes to their Visa/MasterCards they been a total Bust for me. (Vitacost Discontinued) Ugh

Recently approved for Good Sams Visa but come on Comenity, $1500 SL? Closed that card in 2 days (never activated)

They are truly one strange bird like everyone always says.

Creditmagic, yeah it's weird. I got the Eddie Bauer pop up for a crappy $250 limits but now nothing else whatsoever. It makes me think something is up with EQ. And of course EQ won't let me pull my report online so everything is snail mail. I hate EQ.

I too can get most comenity store card pop ups. Never visa/ mc and if i cold app always declined. I guess over 10k at just jcrew is not risky but a 1k dsw visa, red flag time!

I was going to wait, but I needed a new shaver.  Mine broke today and they had the Panasonic cordless for the same price as Amazon.  But with Ebates discount plus new Overstock it would be 13% discount versus the standard 5% on Amazon. 

I called the backdoor number and she said it was still pending and no decision was made.  They've straight up told me denial in the past so hopefully it's just verification.

I can't believe you are getting the run a round with them.  Also cant believe they gave you $250 for Eddie Bauer WTH?

The SCT is completely random and many people get no pop ups at all, or get the pop ups on several accounts and none on others. Plus the credit granting criteria and range of credit limits and cli 's varies from store to store. Lots of these stores like Eddie Bauer, VS, Limited etc will only give limits of $250-$350 maybe some $500. And they are slow with cli's.

i just see the SCT as a way to get a few accounts with higher limit increase potential to pad utilization or for low score or no credit individuals to get some positive trade lines on their bureaus.

I can't count how long it took me to get my Overstock and J Crew accounts. Never got pop ups on anything else and boy I have tried!

For all this grief it would have been faster and easier to go the the store and just pay cash for the shaver.
