PenFED - Serious Question

So, I was considering applying fo rmembership at PENFED.

I opened the app and only put in my name, email address, and phone number.

Then I decided to come here and read some threads. I noticed that they are very conserative and from what I'm' reading they require much higher scores then mine.

Also I read that they have run HPs on folks that didn't even hit submit tho they had the app filled out.

So, I decided not to continue the app and I closed it out.

How about, I just got an email stating

"We noticed that you started your PenFed membership application but didn't complete it. There are numerous benefits to becoming a member of PenFed, including access to our award-winning credit card products, low cost mortgages, and other market-leading financial products and services. "

Should I go ahead and app?

I would like to transfer my military star balance to them I can get a card.

Would it help my approval that I'm a recent veteran?

My stats are below... Scores are a little higher not much though...636-647-650

Realistically your scores are going to be a hindrance to any cc approval.

Don't.. Wait for Penfed until your scores improve. If you are dirty they won't SP you for future pre approvals.

Join Navy Federal, apply for the cash rewards.

Just noticed you are out of the military now.. Have anyone that can sponsor you for Navy? Retired parents? Siblings still in?
