Re: PenFed Love button

Interesting with the new payment screen that I can no longer select just a one time payment. The only option under "Frequency" is auto monthly payments.

@M_Smart007 That's where I found it but as I mentioned it only shows for one of my cards.  My other card, that has been opened for quite some time, still doesn't show it.  Do you by chance have multiple cards with them?  If so, do you have the option for each?

@Loquat, (1) card PCR ...$49,500.00

Re: PenFed Love button

On the main screen - under your credit card info-- under the make payment button,  click on the more account info link and then on the right you'll see the request credit limit increase link.

I haven't been able to find the love button. I did use it few months ago. Where is Penfed love button?

@Anonymous, It will be a HP on Equifax.

Then ...

Option is not there for me on both of my Penfed credit cards.

It's normally been on the credit card application screen.  (A CLI button on cards you already have instead of an Apply button.)

But navigating to "Products and Rates" and clicking "Choose Your Product" now only has a Learn More popup that brings up the credit card list and doesn't recognize that you are logged in.  It used to be counter-intuitive, now it's actually completely gone.

That's where I got my last increase. It's gone for me also.

Re: PenFed Love button

That actually makes logical sense for the placement.  I have it on PCR but not on Defender.  Definitely not taking a HP to grab that last $1000.

Re: PenFed Love button

I read some where that max limit on new Penfed credit cards are $25,000. Probably that's why I don't see the options. Does anyone know from when did they start doing this? I wonder if my account is part of the new accounts.

Re: PenFed Love button

In odd news, I have two PenFed Power Cash Rewards cards.... one has the Request Credit Limit Increase option, and one does not.  Smiley Indifferent

No preapprovals tho, and I'm not ready for a hard pull yet.

Re: PenFed Love button

I have the same situation...2 cards, opened 30 days apart...the older card...has the "Request Credit Limit Increase" as shown upthread.  My other account does not.  However, last year....say NOV I think...last time I looked for someone asking this question...BOTH accounts had the option.  I have not used either link since opening my accounts.  And yes, CLI's are EQ HP

There are people that have exceeded the CL over $25,000 on 1 card (also noted upthread) but research shows many of them have been grandfathered in prior to some rule changes they made and allowed those exceptions.  New data shows that people that have joined recently (for example, me in 2020) will not be able to get the cards higher than $25,000 per card.

Re: PenFed Love button

I'm not sure when the $25k rule was put into effect (it's been fairly recent), but it shouldn't affect those with older cards.  Mine aren't even that old, 2016 and 2017 I believe.  They're sitting at $29,500 and $19,500 and I never took the HP to grab the last $500 on each.  It wasn't surprising to me that I don't have the option for Defender, as that was not an option on the old page after they discontinued the card for new applicants, but it's strange that others don't have it for cards that are still available.
