Hello My Ficoer's,
I just wanted to tell you all of my experience with the PenFed Pre-Approval Mailer. I received the Pre-Approved mailer yesterday and I put in the acceptance code and it stated that they could not find an offer. With that being said, I decided to call in and when I did they said there was a problem with putting the codes in and they were working on correcting it. The CSR stated that if I apply with her it I would first have to open up a savings account for $5 (no biggie) and they would have to pull a credit report first to be accepted which would result in a HP. I asked them could they use the same HP for the credit card approval she said they could not guarantee that they could use the same HP for both. She stated that they were working on fixing the "acceptance code" error and if I wanted to wait until then it would only produce a SP.
I chose to wait until they fix their system and then apply via the mailer offer I received as I have until 10/31 to accept. I would still have to open a $5 saving account but at least it would tie to the original SP Pre-Approval letter.
@Ontherise2020, If you type one letter wrong, it will not accept the offer code.
I am not sure if this is the same problem you are having?
Just wanted to throw it out there...

This sounds like something that would definitely happen to me
So I did as @Anonymous did for the acceptance code which was change the 1 to a I and I was APPROVED for $5,000 with an APR of 15.49. You do have to become a member but so excited for the SL.
Thanks everyone!
That is exactly what I did! I went back in and changed it from 1 to an I and it worked perfect! I was Approved for $5,000 and an APR of 15.49. Thank you for sending my way!
