Pottery Barn hard pull?

I just checked the mail ... received a letter from Pottery Barn that starts off with ... "Congratulations! You've been pre-approved for a Pottery Barn credit card."

It doesn't state a CL. The APR is 27.49%. In tiny print it says: "Subject to final credit approval. It states a link to an "accept your offer" page. When I go to the page and type in my acceptance ID number, it serves a page that requests my full social security number.

I have two Comenity cards ... J Crew and William Sonoma Visa. My question is: if I enter my full ssan, can I expect a hard pull? Or because I have two cards, will they do a soft pull?

I wouldn't mind having a Pottery Barn card to help keep my utilization low, but not if it's a hard pull. Any help appreciated ... thanks.

Re: Pottery Barn hard pull?

It will be a soft pull, if it is for the store card. They usually only hard pull for the visa card.

Re: Pottery Barn hard pull?

I wouldn't trust it... Did robo calls for Overstock and Wayfair last week for CLI... Both hard pulls to experian. I was ticked... Called and talked to CSM she said its common practice now for voice and robo CLI for Comenity.

I tossed em in sock drawer...
