Pre Approval For BoFA Rewards Card?

I just did the pre approval on BoFA site thinking it would pull up a secured card. It Approved a rewards card. Should I pull the trigger and see if I get it?

This didn’t come up a few weeks ago. Is it reliable.

My TransUnion just went 92 point on CK

someone once said, they entered their dogs name and it came up pre-approved.

Personally i do not trust BOA Pre-approval stuff. but its just my opinion.

I would check again. If it doesn't say a solid APR % for the credit, then it's just throwing stuff at you. I did do that and got the range of their card. Chances are you won't know what you'll get until they see your credit report to decide the factors.

I didn’t apply. Found it interesting that it did pull up a regular rewards card.

OP, that portion of the site is not a pre-approval portal per se.  It is simply driving recommendations for certain products.  I input "feefee the poodle", and even with a set APR, it is not reliable unless "feefee" wants the card.  She's not much of a traveler anyway.

If I’m not mistaken, BofA “prequal” is more of a suggestion of what you might like. I most likely wouldn’t try for it, especially without seeing a set APR. If you decide to go for it, let me know. I can app BEFORE you, get denied, and then BofA will approve YOU just to spite me.

I didn’t apply. This early in rebuilding I don’t need the hard pull only to be declined. Thanks for responding. This Forum is great for information. I’m learning.
