Pre-Approval

Just a question to see if anyone has experience, advice or knowledge.

I was doing some shopping on LLBean and as I checkout I get the "your prequalified/preapproved" for the LLBean Visa card.  Didn't take it.  After some thought I figured I could use it and use it well and to it's full advantage etc.  Plus if I decide to close it eventually, I could move the limit (I think) to my SM card.  Well I have tried a few times but now the pop up won't come.

I am pre approved for the HD card too, and that one actually has a date to take advantage of the preapproval by.  The LLBean didn't.

Would you fine members say that approval chances are still pretty good?  I was thinking about going for the HD card along with this.  But wanted to check here first with my query Smiley Very Happy

Thanks!!

Re: Pre-Approval

Did you fill out the last 4 ss#'s?  I filled out the form for J.Crew & quit.  Just got the card yesterday!  I really never knew if they just gave up on me or not.

No, these pre approval pop-ups are not like the Comenity cards.  For HD you can actually check like you can at Cap One and Chase and so on.  For the LLBean, it's like Comenity, where you do shopping and proceed to checkout and get the pop-up, but since it is Barclay, I assume if you go thru with it, it will be the full application (HP).  I would just do the proverbial cold app, but would rather go thru the pre-approval pop up to up the chances, so to speak.

Thus my query LOL.

Re: Pre-Approval

So I'm wondering about this pre-approval. Went to take a look at it to see what would come up. Added a $40 item to my cart and got a pop up it says....

Take LL Bean Visa Everywhere. Earn Rewards on purchases 3% at LL Bean and 1% everywhere else. No Annual Fee

Then it gives me the options No Thank Continue Checkout or Apply Now.

Would this be the pre-approval you were talking about or did it say exactly PreApproved? I will try to post a pic. *Added Pic*

That is what I thought as well... So Eyisila if this is what you got I wouldnt go for it if you don't want a HP. However, if your scores are good go for it! Looks like an advertisement either way it goes.

Re: Pre-Approval

Correct no opt-in/out message.. Just a flat out advertisement for the card pushing it.  a TU score of 670-680 probably could obtain it, if one wants it

I have gotten that before.  The time I did it a couple of days ago it was this. I hope this image works Smiley Very Happy.  Of course now nothing comes up at all, not even the marketing one.  Again, thus my initial query Smiley Very Happy
