So I got this awhile ago and actually app'd and got approved but I went back to look at it to see when I got it to see if I would be getting the SUB or not and realized this might have been a pre-approval? If it was it was my 1st real pre-approval since I started my credit rebuild and I didn't even realize it! So can anyone tell me if it was a targeted offer or an actual pre-approval?
Email offer? Did it have any listed specific APR in it? In my experience any soliciations from Citi are just feelers and not necessairly pre-approvals.
Was from an email and I don't remember if it had an apr listed. It does take to a page where you have to put the invitation number and last name in which is different.

Right. The actual Citi pre-approvals would usually state you are "pre-qualified". The example you provided OP is a targeted "invite" solicitation which is very similar to a pre-selected offer (in a variety of cases would display a specific APR).
On the upside, you were approved which means that your overall profile was favorable to support the approval regardless of which offer you received.
Oh ya I'm not complaining at all! Was just curious if I had gotten my first pre-approval from an actual card and not those First Premier Bank or other subprime lenders. They make me laugh and cry.
