I know I’m going to be in this bucket for while and I accept that. I tried for Cap1 Platinum and was denied early on in my present rebuild, not knowing any better. I’m an AU on DW Cap1 Platinum(unsecured) now(just hit and received the 5th statement CLI to $500)
...is having exposure to that card as an AU hinder future pre-approvals/pre-quals or is it still based off of ones’ credit profile??
Does it help at all and/or puts me on their radar, so to speak??
Last question: How long should I wait after trying prequal site to try again??
Of course, I know to wait until scores are a bit higher, as I just took a hit from graduating FH FreshStart.
Scores aren't your problem. It's whatever is keeping your scores low. I got all my cards in my sig with scores less than 600. A higher score would have gotten me higher starting limits, but almost all of them were from sub-560.

Wow! No kidding? I’m mean, that’s great but, I’ve got looming background noise that’s holding my scores down. In July 3 new collections popped up from old copays in 2015. $30/$16/$16 I recently just sent PFD to...and waiting on a deletion from CCS(Progressive) a PIF/deletion.
Yes those are not helping being so recent and 2 repos from 2015(oil field bust😞)...basically, everything stems from 2015/2016. If I can reduce the background noise then I’m sure I should see better numbers in a 6-12 month period to increase approval odds. Hopefully, right?! Lol...that’s the plan but, there are SO MANY variables...ugh!
Legit, the closest to 600 was my PayPal with an approval at 598. The things I get quoted for denial the most is unpaid collections and when they factor in my collections for DTI. I have 6 collections. 3 are falling off now, already have on EQ, I just settled one, about to start negotiations on 5th, and I'm going to pay the 6th outright because it's Citi. Word on the street is removing all collections will give you about an 80 point boost.
