I think that if you are prequalified for CSP you most definitely would qualify for SW card since the CSP is their premium card. That's what I did, I was prequalified for CSP and after I was approved for that I went and applied for Ritz and was approved as well.
I think you stand a chance of approval as well; I'm just curious though - does your income really justify the card? At 20k income, I can't see how you are flying/traveling much unless you don't have housing expenses etc.
I'm not trying to pry or anything. Just trying to figure out if the card would really make sense for you. The $99 AF alone seems like it would be difficult to justify with that income/spend level.
I do not have any housing expenses at the moment. Still going to school. My plan is to make my mom an AU (she's already an AU on my Freedom) to help with spend. We want to take a vacation next summer so those bonus points can come in handy.
Also, I would eventually probably roll the limit onto my Freedom if I don't get enough use out of it and/or can't justify the fee after a year. So either way it'll work out because my Freedom's CL is on the low side.
I'd say u will get the sw card no problem. I have a freedom 5k and was prequal for the csp and slate as well when I got it 5months ago. Just apped for my sw card a few weeks ago and was approved and they open up the floodgates a lil more on those co-branded cards I got 12k
Would you mind sharing your stats at the time that you were approved for the Venture card?
Although qualified for the CSP.. I think your income will stop you from getting approved for this card. Just my 2 cents, plus I don't think you will run enough spend through it if approved to justify this card vs a simple no AF cashback card. I think I recently saw a few people a few months ago with income around 25kish getting declined for that reason alone with higher scores. They were able to get the IHG or whatever though.
