Pre-approved mailer for Bread Cashback Amex with SUB AFTER getting card

I applied and was approved for the Bread Cashback Amex on 7/1 with no SUB and today 8/14, I received a mailer from Bread/Comenity saying I'm pre-approved for the same card but now they are offering a $200 SUB after spending $1,000 in 3 months. Has this happened to anyone else and any chance they'll honor the SUB for the one I already have?

I doubt you'll get the bonus but you might as well ask for it.

There are 2 different Bread Amex cards, perhaps the second offer is for the other Bread Amex. One is dark blue and gives 2 percent cb on all purchases. The other card is light blue and gives varying categories for different percentages of cb, I have both of them.

The cool thing about the light blue card is it gives 3 percent cb on utility bills.

The offer is for the same 2% one I have, unfortunately. I got it before they opened up the 3/3.75% Rewards one for applications/pre-qualifications. I wish the offer was for the latter, as I would definitely apply for that one too!

I got the same offer mailed to me. I shredded it. I just don't like the name Bread.

Call them and ask, you won't be any worse off than you are now if they say no.   Sometimes an issuer will honor an enhanced SUB if the applicant was approved soon before the related promotion went live, although since it's been more than 30 days since your approval I wouldn't have high hopes of success.

I got the same preapproval mailer you did several days ago which in itself made me laugh as I've held this card since Comenity PC'd me to it about this time last year as part of the bulk migration of their 2% Mastercard cardholders.

I received  the card with the $200 dollar sub ...my 3 months period is almost up on September 11th....Two weeks  ago they sent me another  offer in the mail for the same card and same bonus  for pre approval  by September the 14th.
