Re: Probability of getting approved for high credit limit

It has everything to do with Chase. Chase is known for closing down cards soon after approval if they see you're going on app sprees. Chase keeps tabs on you for a bit after account opening. Doesn't matter whether you're applying for more cards from them or for cards elsewhere. Plus having open collections doesn't help. Scores aren't everything. It's the whole overall picture they look at.

By the way, why do you need 30k in credit for?

Usually non it's of my business why someone want $30k more in available credit. However you are asking how to get to this in an extremely short time period. That being asked of you. For what and why that exact amount in such a short time. Most often good credit with depth of credit takes a long time to build. With your income I'm sure you could reach an over all $30k in credit in due time. But for what? A Loan? Impress someone? The MyFico peeps come from all backgrounds. There maybe someone in here that has already gone through what you may be going through. So show them the direction that you are heading.

What information do you need ?

I have 10 credit cards 10 inquiries and average 2 years and 4 months history

I also recently got approved for chase sapphire proffered last week my experian was 660 and got 12k which got my hopes up

And yes the collections are not mine

How close are these inq? IMHO - 10 inq is a lot if they are all within this calendar year.  Your CSP approval probably hasn't even hit your credit yet. This will drop your score some more.

Re: Probability of getting approved for high credit limit

I’m looking to invest and prefer getting it the credit cards ca the loans

I actually need 50k but I think 30 is more realistic

So...you're wanting 30k in credit to do cash advances against? Even if you do get it, which with your file being relatively thin I don't know that it's possible, taking that kind of money out of the card as a cash advance is a big red flag to lenders.

If not cash advance, then how would you invest 30k worth of credit?

Re: Probability of getting approved for high credit limit

I’m guessing he’s looking to free up cash flow.

My opinion is that the probability of getting any one card with a $30k limit is low. If you’re looking to get $30k spread out amongst a few new cards, then maybe but you’ll more than likely lose that Chase card (& maybe others depending on who you apply with, and current lenders). Either way, I advise against this approach all together. If you already have 6 inquiries this year, your approvals will be fewer and lower with each additional one. Applying for too much credit quickly is a red flag.

Thank you for understanding, how long would you suggest I wait?
