Pulled the trigger for the Ritz

Fould a link for the offer with $3k spend for 2 nights.

Had to call recon to give them my EX pin.

They took more info, said it all looks good, etc. but that it is sent up another level for adjudication and that may take 7-10 bd.

They rep noticed I have two cards with Chase already with $25k+ combined limit and asked me how much am I looking for on this one.  I asked the question back and did't specifiy the limit i was looking for but did mention that i am hoping for this to become my main card if possible.  (I've spent mid 5 figures on the club card this year).

They rep said that I can log into my existing chase profile and i will be able to see the new card, if approved.   Also, if i wanted it rush delivered i would need to call them.  (I would expect they automatically send it overnight, as they have with other premier cards..)

(btw, my EX looks like this:

before this HP, 808,

total 12 HPs, the last one was couple of days ago with Citi.  8 of the 12 HPs are dropping off within the next three months.  I have more than 5 cards opened in the last 2 years, 2 with chase, but only one was chase branded (CSP).

I usually show a $2k balance (not revolving) on ~$120k of total available credit.

Before the Citi app couple of days ago, my most recent apps/HP were:  Jan 2015, Oct 2014, Jul 2014

I think you should be golden. I just added another Chase Card ($10K limit) on Friday with no issues. My current limit on my Marriott card is $42,600, I have 13 hard inquiries, 6 new accounts and am currently at 2% utilization across ~$230K of total available credit. Good luck.

With your scores you should be golden..  As far as airline credit that might be pushing it for 2015 as it takes about 7-10 days for verification (from marriott) after approval and they won't ship it until verification from marriott is complete then card gets overnighted.. Pulling for you getting it before years end so you can use it for this year.

Re: Pulled the trigger for the Ritz

Thanks guys.

I am not part of either Marriott or the Ritz so i was wondering if it would have been faster to setup the Ritz profile ahead of the app.   I did that before with my BA app years ago and it delayed the card for some reason.

This time I opted to just have them setup a new Ritz program profile.

@CreditCuriousity, did they overnight the card to you?  {edit. just saw your reply}

Yes they did... I applied on Nov 16th went pending for a few days and approved on morning of Nov 20th keep in mind had thanksgiving that month as you will have Christmas this month slowing things down and got the card on Nov 30th and that was overnighted so they are in no hurry!   That is why I said I wish you luck on a quicker approval and verification process so you can get this years airline credit!

Re: Pulled the trigger for the Ritz

Were you proactively checking for approval? Or did Chase email you?

The rep I spoke to said the account will just show up in my existing Chase online profile

Called the automated phone system ummm every few hours lol Smiley Happy...  So yes I was being proactive.  Your scores are alot stronger than mine so hopefully it will get rubber stamped quicker than mine and hopefully marriott/rtiz verification goes quicker than mine as well. Wish you the best of luck receiving it prior to the new year!  Even after I was approved I called them daily to get it expedited and there was no speeding them up as verification had to be done...  Longest card I have ever received from approval personally..  Not trying to dampen you mood as it is a great card if you travel and should go along with your prestige you applied for nicely as well!  Just think you waiting a bit to late in the year for both of these cards to get this years credit :/....
