Re: Pulled the trigger for the Ritz

Hey guys, my current experience for reference (mind you, I already had a Marriott account with my Marriott CC that I got earlier in the year):

12/14 Monday - Used Marriott rewards # on Ritz app.  Applied and approved same day.

12/15 Tuesday - Ritz card had shown up in my Chase online account (maybe it happened Monday?) and they sent me a few welcome emails

12/16 Wednesday - Called Chase and asked them to expedite my card.  She told me it still had to go through verification to link the accounts, but she would notate my account.

12/18 Friday - Called JP Morgan Advisor Services - Bugged her on the status of my card;  she said it was still in the verification process.

12/20 Sunday - Marriott status changed from Silver to Gold and Club Level upgrades were credited to my account (no notification; manual account log-in and check).

12/21 Monday - Too busy/tired to bug them.

12/22 Tuesday - Around 8pm Hawaii time (10pm PST/12AM ET) UPS MyChoice account listed the Chase next-day air delivery

12/23 TODAY - Card is out for delivery.

Now I gotta rush home after work.

I believe UPS also does deliveries Christmas Eve...

Thanks for sharing the details of your timeline @rdcha28

Mine seems to be taking extra long given it's still stuck in the second credit adjudication phase (senior analyst)

So.. Nothing yet from Chase.

Called in,  rep referenced that i called yesterday (what a way to make you feel like a chump).  Said it was originally sent to a "Senior Analyst"..   Referenced some long time frame.

I would hope this is just rubber stamped?  The last thing i need is a rejection for some trivial reason like too much credit w chase, esp since I can move over unused limits from other cards.

grrrr.  meanwhile i am paying out of pocket for flight fees that i need to book today/over next couple of days....

they are going slow over at Chase.

I was approved for my Ritz card last Monday, still not in mail as of today.

i apped and was approved for Discover, Barclays, AMEX, and Navy Federal cards the same day.....all cards have came except for Navy and Ritz...

As I have stated it took me approx10(business days) for Marriott verification when I got the Ritz before they would ship it!  It is a very slow process.  Once verified they do overnight it

my Marriott account online changed to Gold status Thursday of last week, so I would assume that was when it became verified.  In the meantime, I got my gold status upgrade for Hyatt and Hilton with the status matching they are doing...

One would think although mine changed to gold about 4 to 5 days before mine shipped as well.   I think it is the computuers talk to each other iis what makes it so slow.  Least you should have it before the new year so you get the airline credit.  At this point if it isnt in UPS you won't get it prior to Christmas, but you can call tomorroow and check if it can be expedited meaning receiving it most liklely monnday if they have the  option available during you call.  For some reason part of their agreement with Marriott they just arent alloweed to ship it prior to verification with their records.  Anyways, best of luck

had a nice suprise at my doorstep in a nice box when I got home late tonight.  UPS delivered my Ritz card.  Very sharp packaging, the card is very heavy, very impressive!
