Re: Pulled the trigger on Walmart.....

Your score may be still a little too low for Walmart.  Although if you search hard enough here on the forums you may find that a few folks have been approved with a score that low but the limit is usually so small that it'd probably be more of a headache than it would be worth.  I'd say give it another shot once you cross over 600 on TU.  Best of luck!

Have you tried getting any secured cards yet?

You have any credit cards at all reporting? You might be stuck with secured cards for a while.

Re: Pulled the trigger on Walmart.....

Credit One and Discover both offer secured cards.  (I think)

I  would avoid Credit One.

Discover is ok.

Try NFCU, SDFCU.

Walamart just might approve you, although they tend to look for scores north of 600.

Good luck.

Do you have a bank? Find out if they offer a secured card and then use it responsibly.
