Most of the Comenity Cards are INQs sensitive.
Ron.

My EXP is clean but it has those 40+INQS within 2 years.
Ron.

@ddemari wrote:Thanks, I think its total BS. Especially if you offer two cards. That preapproval came from today, so i wasnt sitting on it for a while. Don't offer me a visa and then give me a store card when you could of just offered me a visa. If I can find an email of physical address for comenity eo office, i just want to write them a letter letting them know I think its garbage.
If it makes you feel better to get it off your chest, sure, write them a letter but it will likely end up nowhere (file 13). I wouldn't waste the efforts IMO. It's your decision though
Now, the language is not as explicit per se but based on the legal jargon they pretty much have a CYA clause in the event individuals contested the outcome of the application (Visa/MC/Discover vs Store card) -- the following clause is part of their prescreened offer and subsequent CCA.
The same applies for other dual-card programs such as True Value, Ann Taylor, Gander Mountain, etc. On a separate note, I thought you were firmly planted in the garden after that whole fiasco with BOA closing your account...no?

FinStar i wish i could garden, i just cant do it. I have no self control when it comes to apps. Im chalking it off as yet another lesson learned.
You crack me up! Ok, let's do this, if you see something you're interested in, ask the board or PM me before you take the plunge. I wouldn't want you to fall peril to another HP or be disappointed in the outcome. More than likely someone already knows of a potential outcome, folks like Creditaddict or Ron (or others) who may have some vast knowledge - especially with Comenity.
Overall, you're doing well - don't beat yourself up about it. Sometimes the offers can be too good to be true but then you'll be surprised when others "bite" and then you sit back and say... I'm glad I held off! Nothing wrong with having someone else be the GP
