Question about Marriott Card Offer

I was approved about 3 weeks ago for the Marriott card with a 50K point after 2K spend. This week I received an email from Marriott to apply for a 80K point offer with 3k spend. Would it be worth to reach out to Chase to see if I can switch to this offer? Would they even consider it? I'm already working on the spend but have not hit it yet.

Thanks in advance!

If you think that you'll reach the 3K spend then I would definitely send them a secured message asking for the 80K promo.  They will definitely extend it to you- they do it all the time.  Keep in mind the 80K offer has an AF of $85 and I think the 50K offer did not.

I called chase about this same scenario 2 days ago. Rep said after I spend the 3k to call back and they will notify marketing to make the pts adjustment and add on the annual fee.

Re: Question about Marriott Card Offer

Interesting..so I got a response from them stating they couldn't change the offer.

"Thank you for contacting Chase about the enrollment bonus
for your Chase Marriott Rewards® Premier account ending in
76.

In reviewing your application details, the enrollment
offer for the account is to receive 50,000 points if you
spend $3,000 within the first 3 months of opening your
account, 5000 bonus points when you add the first
authorized user and make a purchase in the first 3 months
from account opening and a $200 Marriott gift card after
you spend $3,000 in the first 3 months from account
opening, as well as the annual fee being waived for the
first year.

Regrettably, the offer you requested that includes 80,000
points if you spend $3,000 does not include the $200
Marriott Gift Card or the $85 annual fee waived for the
first year, and cannot be matched to your current account.
This offer is only available when you apply using the
application link contained in the offer. We apologize for
any inconvenience this matter may cause you.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the last part of their response. Seems to me they think you're asking for the 80k points + 200 GC + annual fee waived?

That's how I'm interpreting their response as well.

OP - best to clarify in another SM that you would like to be considered for the 80,000 / 7,500 AU offer with $3K spend to be matched if possible.  Please realize you cannot get the $200 GC nor can the $85 AF be waived with the 80,000 promotion.  Now, some folks can slip through the cracks with the "extras" but it's YEMV.  This would be your best approach in determining whether they can match.  Otherwise, stick to the original offer you applied.
