Always recon.  You have to try to get something for the tripple pull.  I'd at least go secured card route.  You'll get in the door with them and it will switch over sooner then you probably think.

Cap1 secured cards dont graduate though.

Agree better off with a BofA secured if that can be obtained or SDFCU which requires no HP if OP goes secured route.

Re: QuickSilver1 Denied

I can testify that my gf got approved for capone QS1 with a score in the high 400's..she has unpaid student loans that are 4+ years old...so high 500's looks a lot better than high 400s.

With that being said, call and recon!! Like many have said, what's the worst they can do, say no? Tell them you are rebuilding. Tell them you made mistakes and rectified them by paying them off..plead your case, be honest ++ lie a bit if you have to (yeah, oxymoron). Sweet talk them and tell them you would really love a chance with capital one..cross your fingers and hope for the best, it can all depend on the analyst you get on the phone as well...he may have not gotten any from his wife last night and could be grumpy or quite possibly receive some road head from DW on his way to work and is in a great approving mode, you never know!

@Agree kinda with Nixon on this... Deffinetly not out of the ballpark.. this when I got my QS MC I was @ 530ish...  Ya nasty isn't it...  Granted I had alot of postive stuff on my credit report as well, so score is not everything it is the profile they look at more then the score.. Granted the OP might have a whole different profile and most likely does than I did at the time.. I am still at a 660ish EX and havfe a 20k+ Amex plus the other cards I have, so once again score isnt everything.

Worth a recon atttempt if not possibly a Journey card and PC it?  I believe journey might be easier than QS1

No it's not, but it helps.

If there is any lender that will approve a 530 score, it's CapOne.

556 would pretty much require a secured card.  I see no chance of unsecured approval.

Re: QuickSilver1 Denied

I wasn't approved for a quicksilver until my score was 595. Then at that point I had a 7 to 10 day message and I thought I had been declined but I wasn't.

Call & recon.  I think you have a chance.  Seen approvals with your scores on here as well. Smiley Wink
