I received a mail offer from Captial One for Quicksilver. The terms say acess to a higher credit line after 5 months of payments and a minimum credit line of $300. The offer is specifically for the no AF Quickilver Visa card.
I know that this offer does not give the cash bonus like the online one but I was wondering what my chances would be for either. I only have one other card (Discover It) and got that last January. I am currently a student with ~30k income this year but I will be graduating this Spring and starting a full time job next fall. According to Discover my score is 746 and I have PIF every month. I also have checked the pre-qual site but it just shows me an offer for the QS1 which is not what I am going after.
What do you think my chances are? Better odds with the mail offer vs. cold online app?
It is not the VISA version they are offering you with a starting line of 300$. It is the Quicksiver ONE Mastercard version. The Quicksilver VISA has a starting credit line of 5k.

Incorrect. Plenty of people have been approved for the QS Visa with 3k starting lines and lower. The OP stated that it was the VISA according to the mailer.

You are correct! I thought it read 5k. The OP said 300$ not 3k...Please read the first paragraph of his post. The VISA version of QS can be 3k starting line, did that recently change? I just read the terms and conditions on Cap1 Web site for Quicksilver VISA. It clearing states that the minimum starting credit line is 3k.

We will determine your credit line after a review of your application and your ability to pay. If your application is approved, the minimum credit line you will receive is $3,000.
I stand corrected, see my previous post regarding this.
Will it still be the VISA version or the MASTERCARD version at 3000k?
