With the OP'S scores, Capital One should be jumping at the opportunity to approve the OP for a third credit card from them.

There are so many rumors that a person can only have 2 Cap1 cards.. this not no include co-branded cards such as Sony, GM buy power etc..  Their are other theories a person can only have 2 sub-prime cap 1 cards.. Maybe when OP started out he had sub-prime credit and hence only allowed to cards?  I dunno, just throwing stuff out there that have been debated on this forum time and time again.  He might have to close one of the older Cap1 cards to get approved.. I have no clue..

If that's true, that would be a very poor business decision on Capital One's part.

Cap1 isn't known to be the bightest lender..  No combining CL's, CSR have no power and the list could continue.  Only good thing about Cap1 is 1.5% cashbash with no minimum, that is the best in the business in my opinion.. Problem is that is the car I am going to close since My Venture is my oldest Cap1 card, one has to go and it the the no AF QS card as I got bucketed when I was rebuilding and it is my lower limit and promised myself if I got approved for Ed I would axe a Cap1 card... So I guess it is gone.. Will PC my Venture One ot a QS then have my rewards of 1.5% back although it realy just sits in the sock drawer.

That would mean only one true Capital One credit card and the other would be a co branded Sony.  I can't believe that would have any bearing on the decision.  Would inquiries or new accounts be a factor?  Discover IT in January and Amex and BofA in August 2014.  I just figured that my scores would override anything else that might be negative.

Re: Quicksilver Visa Signature pending decision

Further adding to the confusion is that Amex approved 5,500 in August then 3 months later asked for $15,000 and got it.  Now I can't even get a decision from Capital One?  Sheesh...

Re: Quicksilver Visa Signature pending decision

I googled the CEO email address and sent a very polite email about the card meeting my needs, going to travel soon, etc.  :-)  Patience is not one of my virtues.  Has anyone else had any luck?  How long should I wait for a response?

Are you saying you have a true branded Cap1 and a sony card now?  If that is the case, then you should be ok applying for whatever one you did.  For whatever reason it went to review ver. instant approval it appears?

Yes.  A Capital One Platinum MC and a SonyCard Visa Signature, though I haven't used either one in about a year.  This is my first experience ever going to a manual review vs instant approval and I'm just stymied.

Have they pulled your credit report? I got denied a while back for having too many capital one products and they didn't pull my report.  It came back with the 7-10 day message when I applied and when I got the letter in the mail that was the reason they gave.
