SDFCU - Application process - Referred

After getting the Barclay ring another member suggested that the SDFCU CC wasa good fixed rate credit card. Since that is what I am looking for I decided to give it a shot.

They send me the docusign documents to sign and uploaded what they requested.

The only problem is that on the application it does not show my other sources of income even though I had put it in the online application. This is necessary as it essentially doubles my income.

With that said, the status of my application is now "Referred". Does that just mean it has been sent to underwriting? Is that normal or is there risk of denial at this point? How long might it take to get the final results?

Scores are all over 790 but utilization is at 14% since I just made a large purchase. No negatives on my report at all.

Thanks for any info....

Re: SDFCU - Application process - Referred

The daughters app went to referred and was approved soon after.

It's a pain to open membership (the app was pretty long and long waiting period between actions) but once she got it all done she is very happy.

Simply means it was referred to underwriting. of course it could go either way. But mostly with them they know its approval after you apply. Funny thing is they gave me a 1k Sp loan last month. I did not apply they just sent me a check and said sign it and i was good to go. They called me 2 weeks later and asked me if i wanted more money like another 5k. I said why not. They pulled my credit and sent me the same Document to sign. I changed my mind about it and they just wont leave me alone. Everyday they are sending me a reminder about finishing up the loan. What a pita. to say the least. i finally sent a email to them that i don't want the loan. please leave me alone. they just can't seem to understand that i changed my mind. i dont need it.@elim. not sure about being pain to open membership. I did it in 5mins over a year ago. had to join the ACC. American Consumer Council. then boom. instant membership. I like them but they are too far away for me.

Taxi, did they ask for POI when you originally asked for more on the loan?  They called me as well but I never answered or called back.

Yes they did. They showed me my Credit Score and asked me to Fax POI. Either Pay stubs or copy of Tax Returns. I did not actually ask. They asked me if i wanted more seeing how i had already cashed the check we talked about in the other thread.

When you update your thread with the happy news of approval.....congrats by the way

Can you also please confirm the fact that SDFCU is now a HP for their products?

New reports are.... effective 1/1/2016 HP and I only see two threads this year

Thanks we need more data if this is the case to help others

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Sorry posted another thread with the approval.

Regarding the HP, not sure what you mean. I have never applied for a New credit card and only had a soft pull. CLI and rate reductions are a different story.

But to directly answer your question, I had no previous relationship with SDFCU and as soon as I sumbitted the appication off of the website they did a Hard Pull from Experian. And this was NOT for the secured card but was for the Signature Card
