Quick update - I called earlier today and left a voicemail (my deposit is still pending).  A few minutes ago, I received the following e-mail: 

I want to ask for the PLOC too. Do I need to open a checking account to apply for it?

I think you only *need* a savings, but the checking is free and you can transfer money with it much more easily than a savings

If you had the HP within last 30 days, you can use it again for other products. I suggest calling the lending team.

Cards statement date and report both on the 28th for me

PLOC is at end of month

Reports on first statement, pretty fast
