I was approved with a 2800 cl, 45 days ago with Sportsman Guide Visa. It was thru the SCT.....I hear/read different stories about when this card will allow CLI---ranging from immediately, to 61 days, to 6 months. Is there any real evidenence or actual facts about this or is it a case by case issue?.............I have a Overstock store card, which gives me increases, started at 250 Jan 2021---now at 4500. I have the Goodsam store card, used once and never asked for CLI--cl is 400. Haven't tried with SG and would like some solid experience on this. Thanks
If your account wasn't eligible for a CLI upon activation, you'd need to wait about ~6 months @rchvmz. There really isn't any way around that for the 1st CLI on the Comenity V/MC to speed things up. The retail cards follow a different set of criteria, those you can ask periodically and even a few months post-approval. Of course, results will vary for every profile.

I did not think to ask at activation---and have not done so since. So, if thats how it goes, then I missed that opportunity

I got a few Comenity cards several years ago, including SGV, using the SCT. At the time, my credit wasn't great, but not awful either. Just FWIW, they've been very stingy with me as far as credit line increases go. Also, keep in mind that each CLI request triggers a hard pull--at least that's what it says when I try. (I never go through with it.)
I have the same card.
Wait at least 6 months and make sure you are showing spend.

Thanks, will do. I have been using it as it gets 1% cash back I think--

Yeah, I dont want any HP right now anyway----thanks.
It's a soft pull, so roll the dice if you are past 61 days. If it's a no, wait until at least the 6 months mark.
From what I've read recently its been 6 months till first CLI then every 4 months thereafter give or take. Again that's with the Visa. Existing Comenity CCs under your belt may skew those DPs.
