Second Chase Freedom app pending due to address verification. Old app denied

Thanks for suggestion. I'm gonna go ahead and apply for Amex card today.

Meanwhile, I called Chase today and requested for Fax number to send address docs. He said they'll make a decision after a week of receiving my docs. So, as my application is already submitted, do you think they already did a credit enquiry (Hard pull) on my account? or will it be done after verifying my address docs?

Coz, if they haven't already, then they will surely find my Amex inquiry on reports by the time they decide making the decision. 

I'm just worried as I don't want to have unnecessary pulls without any benefit of getting card.

They have already pulled your report otherwise they won't be bothering with verification.  I like the way you think about being conservative with inquiries.  But 2 inquiries will not break the bank...

So report back with result on the Amax when you apply...

If Chase needs anything faxed please dont bother! Just make your own scanned copy and mail it to them! I went through this with them and ignored Taxi813 on the problems I would have (Fax to dark cannot see my birthdate) If you have any relationship with Chase you can go to a branch and they can upload it in Eye Vault, You have to have atleast a 6 month relationship though with them. If this is not an option then I highly recommened sending it yourself. 14 day notice is usually a good , good luck!

You have to have at least a 6 month relationship though with them. - Where is this information coming from? Wasn't true in my case. After a month with Freedom I went into a branch for verification with Sapphire. They can verify your identity over the phone in the branch that day while you wait. Simply have the banker call the verification department, no faxes necessary.

btw when I did this I didn't have any bank accounts with Chase yet, still no problem.

I have to disagree with you on the point highlighted in your post.  Where are you reading that from?  You don't need to have ANY relationship with Chase to get their credit cards and there are a lot of people on this board and out in the world who have cards with Chase and don't back with them.

Also, if one applies for a credit card they can go into any Chase branch even if they don't have a banking relationship to have their documents sent.

!st. I never SAID you had to have an account WITH THEM. I SAID IF YOU HAVE AN ALREADY EXISTING ACCOUNT LIKE A CHECKING, CREDIT CARD, MORTGAGE OR A SAFE DEPOSIT BOX then you can have your documents uploaded PER LENDING I WAS TOLD AT MY BRANCH. I have a relationship with them. I was only trying to help the OP so if he/she needs to verify their idenity  this is a faster route instead of waiting a week from them saying your fax is to dark. Also I never said you couldnt go into the branch and have them do it for you either! I did that by my house and sure enough it was TOO DARK we cannot see your DOB. 

So before you go on rampage accusing myself of saying you CANNOT HAVE A CHASE CARD UNLESS YOU HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM. PLEASE TRY RE-READING IT. And I-Vault or EYE VAult gets your Documents their within 4 hours! Fax it risk it being dark and waiting a week to be told that.

No one is accusing you of anything.. I also bank with Chase heavily also.  When you say one needs to have a at least 6 months relationship with Chase is not true.  They don't need to have that.  I am just going by your earlier post.

To get back on topic, OP has already sent the info. so lets see what happens as we try to get back to the main reason why OP started this thread.  Thank you!

Sorry Yes it's me and HeavenlyFlower. I see I was defense mode when replying. I only wanted to save this poor soul from going thru what I did with the fax stuff. 

Heavenly: Yes, you can go into a branch and have them fax your information without any relationship with Chase. I was mentioning about if you have a relationship then they could use a program called IVault to upload your information and expedite it much quicker. This is what I was told by lending when I called them. So I'm sorry I was rude to both you and Yes it's me.
