Hello!
I am new to this site / forums. I am trying to build up my credit even higher. I do not have a lot of credit cards currently. I always thought they were bad to have until I started looking at my credit score and keeping track of it. Found out that I need more of a credit line which will increase my credit scores, who knew, haha. I have had one cc that I have had since I was 18 (10 years ago). It is just a regular bank cc with 13k limit. I also have a chase sapphire with 8k and the Citi Prestige cc with 11k. I travel alot so I love the travel rewards that I have with these two cards. I don't want to have alot of credit cards but if they will benefit me in some way then I am all for them. I really only want to add 1 more credit card to my collection and I will be happy with what I will have. I don't know much about different AMEX cards. I have read about them but I want to hear from real personal experiences with. Which is truly the best card from AMEX to have? Should I even have an AMEX cc? Perks for having one? Any thoughts would be helpful.
Thanks,
Traveling Man

If you come across a 50k MR point offer for the PRG, I'd take a look into that card.
Try looking at Amex EveryDay and see if that card might be a good fit for you and go from there. Good luck.

+1 Those two are a good combo.
Thank you both for the insight. I applied for the AMEX Gold cc and was instantly approved. They were offering the 50k bonus after 1k spending. It was exactly the type of card I was looking for. It has some great travel rewards that will compliment my other two cards nicely. Plus it allows me to earn points with Gas and Supermarket purchases which my other two do not. Finally fell complete with the cards that I have. Now its time to let me credit history grow.
Thanks again!

Congrats dude. That card can do some major damage. I'm sure you'll do the same with that card as well.
You may want to immediately apply for an Am Ex credit card like the Everyday since you just did the PRG. You'll most likely be automatically approved and you'll have 2 cards on one inquiry. And the credit card is eligible for a 3x cli. My DW took the advice of others in the forum who have done this and got both cards easily.
Congrats on the approval!!!! Enjoy!!!

You get both with the same HP (if luck is with you).
Try and you shall be rewarded (possibly).
YMMV.
Congrats btw.
