Should I apply for a new card or request a CLI on one

I am new to the site and just got my Fico Scores 660EQ 658TU 652EX

My oldest card Cap1 Secured $400 3yrs old*

Cap1 Platinum $1500

Credit one $300*

1st National Bank of Texas $500*

Security Service Credit Union $500

Finger Hut $1500

Lacks furniture $5000

I am also an Authorized user for a Citi card $3000 limit and GE capital $200.

My income is $75k a year, I have an autoloan that has been paid perfect for 4 years

I would like to increase my limits on most of the cards or get a new card to increase my limit

* are cards I got when my scores were under 580

1ST NBT gave you a card? FNBO Smiley Happy

Maybe i'll look into this if AMEX is just teasing about free EX FICOs after all.

First of all, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you're still "in the gutter" as far as prime lenders go. I know because i've been through that slow climb out of subprime hell.

You might wait till you get 20-30 more pts on your FICO's before trying to get any more credit.

My Old bank was first National Bank Texas but I forgot they're part of first National Bank Omaha. I tried SSFCU today and was given a new card with a higher limit and a 8.49%

Re: Should I apply for a new card or request a CLI on one

you need to apply for all new cards!

i would go around and check pre-quals for chase, citi, capital one and see if anything is offered for you and TAKe them if they are.

I would apply for discover regardless of offer.

then as soon as you open a couple new ones, close credit one and cap1 secured.

also put in request online for cli on your cap1 platinum as it's either going to instantly give you one or be denied (no credit pull) and why not see about PC to quicksilver (you can check under your reward sumarry or something it's called to see if it's in your account without calling EO to do it.
