Should I apply for more? I need some friendly advice.

I just got approved for an AMEX BCE last 5/4 with a 10K SL. I pushed the CLI buttons on my 2 other cards. Capital One got bumped to 1,250K CL and my Discover card got bumped to 3K CL.

Not to be greedy but do you think I can still apply for another card? I'm thinking of getting a Citi DC because I got a prequalification letter from them in the mail.

Also I really wanted to have an Amazon Store Card but I have been denied last year back when I just started building credit.

I need some advices as I am totally new to the whole credit world. Haha!

So far I have 5 hard inquiries on TU and 5 hard inquiries on EQ, my Amex' application would probably add another one on the next update.

No one knows what your spending looks like, what categories, how much.

Write down your spending amounts per category in a spreadsheet and create columns for each rewards card and what percentage each category earns you back. Subtract AF free each card and see what your totals would be.

Pick the cards that make sense for you.

And also if you have a big app coming for a mortgage or similar, consider gardening versus adding more inqs. If you just want a card that doesn't add financial value now, garden.

However, do you think applying for a store card(Amazon) or two will hurt me considering I just applied for a new credit card last week. Does my recent CC approval hurt my chances of getting another card?

Sorry totally new to this. Part of growing up I guess. Haha

My CC score has been stable at the moment so I am not sure if I should seize the moment and apply for a couple new cards or not. My eyes on Amazon & Best Buy because they do offer monthly financing for techs I love.

If you are wanting the Amazon store card because you will use it, go for it. I have the Amazon Prime Visa Signature card from Chase. Maybe check that one out instead of the store version from Sync. I use it just for Amazon as I'm Prime and do a lot of purchases on Amazon but being it's the Visa version, I can use it anywhere. I also got it when they had the free $70 gift card too! Not sure what promotion the Chase version may have currently if any though. Your recent Amex approval is great! If you do decide to snag the Amazon store card, or maybe the Visa version, I'd definitely hit the garden and let what you have grow!

If you really want the Amazon, get it and garden for a while. Like one poster mentioned, if you want the Chase version, its a Visa and can be used anywhere. Where are your scores from, myfico, creditkarma? Also, if you are planning on getting a mortgage, chill for a year.

I did apply for the store card and get approved with a $1,150 SL.

If you want to know what your real Fico scores are I'd suggest getting the creditchecktotal.com 7 day trial for $1. CK uses Vantage 3 scores which very few lenders use.

You can ask for a CLI on the Amazon store card via chat. They're very generous with giving CLIs
