i don't understand your question?
He's replying to me, mobile is a tricky beast.
Simply, that would be your target range to get approved with a decent CL. 684-709 should be enough. Let me clarify, people get approved with lower scores but do you want a card approved with only a $300 CL after you've already established your credit? That would just be a kick in the pants (if you ask me).
Is there also a way to avoid the dreaded 3 credit bureau pull?

Not that I know of, although I've heard if you apply for 2 cards back to back it will only be 1 hard pull on each bureau.

I don't understand the deal with the QS vs QS1. It seems like QS almost always has NO AF where the QS1 does.
My experience was this.... I did not have great scores whatsoever....I applied back in december for the regular QS. I was approved with a CL of $1,000 and also received credit steps info by email and mail. Basically after 5 payments, auto increase to $1500. Well, after I made 5 payments, I requested CL and it was tripled to $3,000.
My point is, qs1 isnt always the only choice for those without excellent credit...they let you get the reg qs too....
And if any of the senior members want to step in here and correct me, but wouldn't it be best for this person to apply for BOTH the QS, QS1, and heck even another cap1 product, then its only 1hp and they can take the best offer?
And you bring up another YMMV situation:
Normally the minimum credit limit for the QS is $3k, yet I see people in here with sub-$3K limits all the time. Still they won't PC my QS1 to a QS, based on the current limit.
How Do You Determine My Credit Line?We will determine your credit line after a review of your application and your ability to pay. If your application is approved, the minimum credit line you will receive is $3,000.
From http://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/quicksilver/
Capital1 has the most aribtrary rules sometime.
I think a lot of those people have reached out to the EO to get the AF permanently removed.
OP are you preapproved for anything? I agree with an earlier post of gauging the decision by using 650 Fico as the line in the sand.

You could apply for the GM Buypower card. It only pulls EQ.
Right now im not preapproved for anything through the mail. On capital one's site I pre-qualify for platinum and quicksilver one though.
Capital One's pre qual is pretty solid, so whatever is says you're prequalified for if you were to apply you'd most likely be approved for it. If it doesn't list a particular card, then I assume you don't qualify for that one yet.
I was preapproved for both a Quicksilver and Venture. I applied for both back-to-back and was approved for 5000 and 15,000 limits. Only one hard pull on TU. The 15,000 is the highest cl I have now.
