My ultimate goal is to get the Reserve eventually (and probably Southwest).
So I'm want to apply for the CSP soon (prequalified via Chase). But I heard it's good to also have the Freedom for its categories. Now I want to apply right before I move to a new apartment (rather take the ding from Chase first). My plan was to get the Preffered, get a new apartment, then in the fall apply for the Freedom. Then early in 2018 apply for the Reserve. Or will it be better to just get the Freedom/Preferred at teh same time since it'll just count virtually as one inquiry? Thanks!

Only an Auto Loan but no credit cards. Last CC was in 2014.
I would say you're fine to apply for both at the same time, but IMO, that time is not now. Your scores appear to be "on the cusp" to me, which could result in denial. Even if you were to get approved for both products, chances are you'd receive very low (near minimum) SLs, which really isn't favorable. I'd suggest getting your scores to all 700+ and then applying. Are you aware of the steps that you can take with respect to your personal profile that could raise your scores the most in the shortest amount of time?

Crap. I forgot to update mine (those are from last year). My current scores are 691 (TU) and all however around that range with a 7% UTIL and I'm preapproved for the CSP (via their website), Freedom, and Freedom Unlimited.
My mother applied for both the CSP and Freedom Unlimited at the same time...one HP...both approved...
