I know that US Bank prequalified link means nothing but this is the first time I got something other than their prepaid card as a recommended card and so my interest is peaked... should I apply for one of them or just move along?

Like you mentioned, it definitely isn't a prequal. With how much the Cash+ has been nerfed, I say move along.
It depends on what you want. I have the Business Flex Perks and it one of the best cards I have. Some of the benefits I actually used all year round and the extra 20k points which is worth $400 in travel is icing on the cake.

I've been wanting the Flex card for a very long time now but I'm scared they will want my EX which they cannot have
Since when could you apply for Cash+ online? I thought you could only apply in branch.
